Kamloops is a beautiful city offering a relaxing lifestyle and warm climate and plenty of sunshine. It is located around commercial and residential areas. It is situated right next to Tournament Capital Centre, Kamloops largest recreational centre. The city offers great outdoor recreation, a cosmopolitan centre, excellent health care, affordable housing, safe neighbourhoods, and beautiful beaches, parks, and hiking trails, cycling paths, lakes, and ski resorts.
Kamloops campus has over 80 student societies and clubs, 12 sports teams, which includes volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, and many more.
The university offers scholarships, financial aids, bursaries, awards, loans, and grants. Students who have completed one or more semesters are eligible for more than 500 different financial aids and prizes. Out of all the entrants 43 percent of eligible entrance scholarship applicants were given a scholarship award. Students who score over an average of 85 percent or above were awarded CAD $1,000 annually.
Students have the option of working on and off-campus while studying under the work and study program. Under this, the students are permitted to work up to 20 hours a week and can earn up to CAD $2,400-3,000 per month.
The university offers a Co-op (paid internship) program which offers students’ career-related work experience.
